A 4N - 3D Harrison Sturgeon Challenge, for 4 people in 1 boat, departing from the Resort dock at 8am for 8 hours. Opening social on November 4, 2025 and celebration dinner on November 7, 2025, with 1 drink ticket per person for each event. Breakfasts at the hotel and lunches on the boat.


The 2025 Harrison Sturgeon Challenge Derby starts on Wednesday, November 5th at 8am and closes at 4pm on Friday, November 7th. Each fishing day will begin at 8am and close at 4pm. Award presentations will take place at approximately 7:00pm on Friday, November 7th, following the banquet dinner. Prizes will be presented in a number of categories. All categories referring to the size of a fish or multiple fish will be based on the fork length of the fish. Prizes relating to tagged fish refer to fish that have or have not previously been sampled as part of the Fraser River Conservation’s ongoing monitoring and assessment program and that may or not already have a PIT tag implant.


Daily Prizes

Largest Fish: Prize awarded for the largest fish of the day.

Hidden Length: Each day, we will randomly draw a “hidden length” based on the day’s tag sheets. The angler who caught the fish matching that length will win a prize.

Pins: We will also be awarding sturgeon pins each day, based on the length of fish caught. Each angler will be awarded a pin upon catching their first fish in each size category.

Smallest Fish of the Day: FRSCS Adoption Certificate - Awarded to the angler who catches the fish with the shortest fork length. The prize is the adoption of your fish


Tournament Individual Prizes


Largest fish of the event $1,500.00: Awarded for the fish with the longest fork length caught over all three days

2nd largest fish of the event $1,000.00: Awarded for the fish with the second longest fork length caught over all three days.

Most Untagged sturgeon, tagged by a single angler Gift pack: Awarded to the angler who catches the most untagged sturgeon over all three days.

First fish landed Gift pack: For the first fish officially landed on the first morning of the tournament.


Tournament Team prizes


Most combined length: $1,000.00 - Each team score is based on the total combined lengths of the four largest fish caught over all three days. (Note: This takes into account the four largest fish caught by the team and may be more than one fish caught by the same angler)

Most Virgins tagged by a team: Prize Pack - Awarded to the team who lands and tags the most untagged sturgeon over all three days.
