Fish & Golf weekend getaways

The concept of Fish and Golf events is referred to as “Finn and Skins”. For years people have enjoyed sport fishing holidays and golfing holidays alike, but it has only been over the past few years that we have combined the 2 into a full tournament format. These combined fishing/golfing tournaments are a favorite among many of our corporate clients as well as our large family groups. BC Sport Fishing Group can organize tournaments from 4 people right up to 160 people depending on desired format. Many of our corporate partners choose our popular 2 day event enjoying the golf, the fishing and the great setting that southwestern British Columbia provides for our guests. The following are based on our best selling tournaments, but we are happy to customize your personal fishing tournament by sending us an e-mail with your detailed needs.

2 day golf and fish package includes:
• 18 holes of golf at the Sandpiper Golf Resort each day
• 1 cart for every 2 golfers (both days)
• 6 hours of guided fishing for Sturgeon each day
• buffet breakfast and catered lunch on both days
• all fishing gear and related equipment to fishing
• 2 nights accommodation at the Harrison Resort (West Tower)

Finally the snow is melted and we are back on the river!

We are just beginning our Sturgeon and trout fishing charters for the year and reports will follow shortly. We did have some reasonable trout fishing on the Harrison River as well as some success Steelhead fishing on the Vedder this past week and we are booking charters daily for this week.

We got out with friends a couple of weekends ago. It was a great time and perfect fishing weather. We had a couple of double headers, and lots of perfect sized fish to fight (I am too lazy for the big ones)! I know we all had sore backs the next day regardless... There were some really nice fish- all 19 of them.

The biggest one in the pictures was a bit of a gong show to bring in, he wrapped himself around the anchor at least 4 times and Chad and Kobie played "hot potato" with the rod to get him unstuck.

It took a little while but I finally had some time to get some pictures together for you.

Ann and I really enjoyed our trip. Chad and Yves were top notch guides and we had a lot of fun fishing with them. We caught 21 sturgeon all together including 4 over six feet and 5 over seven feet. Ann also caught a 25 pound spring. The great fishing and beautiful scenery made for a very memorable trip. And being able to stay at a location as picturesque as Harrison Hot Springs made our time off the water equally enjoyable.

The service that you and the rest of the staff provided was also fantastic. You took good care of us and eliminated any worries about the trip!! THANK YOU!!

Yesterday Tony and Frank took out a group of 8 people for a sturgeon fishing trip.
Altogether they caught 20 sturgeon of up to 6 feet in size. Needless to say, fishing was good :-)

Over the past 3 days Tony and his guests caught 23 sturgeon all together and the biggest one was 9 feet long!

Not just sturgeon fishing has been good - the wildlife on the Harrison River is amazing these days!

At this time of the year one can literally see thousands of Bald Eagles, as well as other wildlife on and along the shores of the Harrison River and Lake!
